Last updated: September 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Inky Cat Printshop website and to purchases made through the website.
In these Terms, "I", "me", "my" and "Inky Cat Printshop" refer to the business operating the website. "You" and "your" refer to the person using the website or purchasing products from me.
Please read these Terms & Conditions before using the website or placing an order.
By using the website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the website.
These Terms & Conditions, together with my Privacy Policy and Delivery & Returns information, form the terms on which I provide products through this website.
I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version that applies to your order will be the version displayed on the website at the time you place your order.
2. About Inky Cat Printshop
Inky Cat Printshop is a UK sole-trader business.
Email: inkycatprintshop@gmail.com
If you require my full legal name or business address for a legal notice or other formal purpose, please contact me using the email address above.
3. My website
My website is hosted using the Wix.com platform. Wix provides the website hosting and e-commerce technology that allows me to offer products for sale online.
Information about how personal information is handled through the website is explained in my Privacy Policy.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside my control. I will make reasonable efforts to keep the website available and functioning correctly, but I cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
4. Cookies
My website uses cookies and similar technologies.
I use the Usercentrics consent management platform to help manage cookie consent and your cookie preferences.
Some cookies are necessary for the website to function. Other cookies, such as certain analytics or other non-essential cookies, will only be used where the appropriate consent has been obtained.
Please see my Privacy Policy for further information about cookies and how personal information is handled.
You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences through the cookie settings provided on the website.
5. Intellectual property and copyright
Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including text, illustrations, photographs, graphics, logos, designs and artwork, belongs to or is licensed to Inky Cat Printshop.
You may view the website and download or print material from it for your own personal, non-commercial use where the website makes this functionality available.
You must not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, publish, sell or commercially exploit any website content or artwork without my prior written permission.
The purchase of a physical print, card or other product does not transfer copyright or other intellectual property rights in the artwork to you.
You may display artwork that you have purchased for your own personal use, but you may not reproduce it, scan it, photograph it for commercial use, or use it to create other products for sale without permission.
All rights reserved.
6. Products
I make and sell a range of art prints, greeting cards and other products through Inky Cat Printshop.
I make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, measurements and other information on the website are accurate.
Some products are handmade. Handmade products may contain small variations in colour, texture, positioning and detail. These variations are a natural result of the production process and do not necessarily indicate a fault.
Where a product is described as handmade, each individual item may therefore be slightly different from the photographs shown on the website.
7. Colours and appearance
I make every effort to display product colours as accurately as possible.
However, colours displayed on computer, tablet and phone screens can vary depending on the device, screen settings and calibration.
For this reason, I cannot guarantee that the colour displayed on your screen will exactly match the colour of the physical product you receive.
For handmade linocut prints, variations in colour and detail may also occur because of the nature of the printing process.
8. Print quality and lightfastness
Linocut prints
Linocut printing is a handmade process, and variations in colour, texture and detail may occur. These variations contribute to the individual character of each print.
I use oil-based relief printing inks for my linocut prints. I recommend keeping original artwork and prints out of prolonged direct sunlight. Where appropriate, UV-protective glazing can also help reduce fading over time.
Information about the manufacturer's ink specifications can be found through the Cranfield Colour website. I use Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks.
Digitally printed products
Greeting cards, digital illustrations and other commercially printed products are produced using professional printing services.
While high-quality printing methods are used, printed materials can fade or change in appearance over time, particularly when exposed to prolonged direct sunlight.
To help preserve printed products, I recommend displaying and storing them away from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
9. Product sizes
All measurements quoted on the website are approximate.
Where a product is handmade, small variations in dimensions may occur.
If an exact size is important for your intended use, please contact me before placing your order.
10. Prices
All prices displayed on the website are in pounds sterling (£).
Prices are subject to change, but a price change will not affect an order that I have already accepted.
I will make reasonable efforts to ensure that prices displayed on the website are accurate. If I discover an obvious pricing error before your order has been accepted, I will contact you to discuss the error.
Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.
11. Placing an order
When you place an order through the website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected by you.
After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email acknowledging that your order has been received.
This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
Your order is accepted when I send you confirmation that your order has been accepted or, where applicable, when I begin processing the order.
If I am unable to accept your order, for example because a product is unavailable or there is an obvious pricing error, I will contact you and refund any payment you have made.
12. Availability
All products are subject to availability.
If a product becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, I will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Where I cannot fulfil your order, I will provide a refund for any payment you have made for the unavailable product.
13. Personalised products
Where I offer personalised products, you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is correct, including names, dates, wording and spelling.
I will use the information you provide to create your personalised product.
Where appropriate, I may contact you to clarify information before producing the item.
Personalised products are made specifically for you and may therefore be excluded from the usual cancellation rights that apply to non-personalised goods, as explained in my Delivery & Returns information.
This does not affect your statutory rights if a personalised product is faulty, damaged or not as described.
14. Payment
Payment is made through the payment methods offered through the website.
Payment information is processed by Wix and/or the relevant payment provider. I do not store full payment card details myself.
Payment must be received in full before an order is dispatched, unless otherwise agreed.
If your payment cannot be authorised or is subsequently reversed, I may cancel or suspend the order and contact you to arrange payment.
15. Ownership of goods
Ownership of the goods will pass to you when I have received full payment for the goods.
Risk in the goods will pass to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a person nominated by you to receive them, subject to your statutory rights.
16. Delivery
Please see my Delivery & Returns page for information about delivery charges, estimated delivery times and the countries to which I currently deliver.
I will make reasonable efforts to dispatch orders within the time stated on the website.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by postal delays or circumstances outside my reasonable control.
If there is a significant delay to your order, I will contact you where appropriate.
17. Returns, cancellations and refunds
Please see my Delivery & Returns page for full information about cancellation, returns, exchanges and refunds.
If you are a UK consumer purchasing goods online, you have statutory rights under UK consumer law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects those rights.
For most products purchased online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to certain exceptions.
One important exception can apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you.
This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of consumer law.
18. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
I take care when preparing and packaging orders.
If your order arrives damaged, is faulty, is not as described, or you receive the wrong item, please contact me at inkycatprintshop@gmail.com as soon as possible and provide details of the problem.
Photographs are necessary where an item has been damaged in transit.
I will deal with the problem in accordance with your statutory rights.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
19. Handmade products
Some products sold by Inky Cat Printshop are handmade.
Handmade products can contain minor differences between individual items, including variations in colour, ink coverage, texture, registration and other details.
These natural variations are not considered defects where the product remains of satisfactory quality, fit for its intended purpose and as described.
Where a variation is significant enough to mean that the product is not as described or does not meet the requirements of consumer law, your statutory rights will apply.
20. Gift cards and promotional offers
Where gift cards, discount codes or promotional offers are available, any specific terms applying to them will be explained at the time of the offer.
I reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotional offers where necessary, but this will not affect an offer that has already been accepted in relation to an order.
21. Reviews and customer content
If you choose to provide a review, testimonial, photograph or other content relating to an Inky Cat Printshop product, please ensure that you have the right to provide that content.
I will only use your testimonial or other customer content for promotional purposes where I have the appropriate permission to do so.
Further information about how personal information contained in customer content is handled is provided in my Privacy Policy.
22. Third-party websites
The website may contain links to websites operated by third parties.
These links are provided for convenience and information. I am not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites.
You should review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party website you visit.
23. Website information
I make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on the website is accurate and up to date.
However, I cannot guarantee that all information will always be complete, accurate or free from errors.
I reserve the right to correct errors, update information and make changes to products, descriptions and website content where necessary.
Changes to website information will not affect an order that has already been accepted.
24. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to the above, I will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for losses that arise from circumstances outside my reasonable control.
25. Events outside my reasonable control
I will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing my obligations where the failure or delay results from circumstances outside my reasonable control.
This may include events such as serious disruption to postal services, natural disasters, major technical failures, power outages or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.
I will make reasonable efforts to minimise any disruption and will communicate with you where appropriate.
26. Privacy
Information about how I collect, use and protect personal information is set out in my Privacy Policy.
My Privacy Policy also explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the website.
27. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version that applies to your purchase will be the version available on the website when you place your order.
I will not make changes to these Terms after you have placed an order that retrospectively alter the terms of that order.
28. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also have rights under the laws applicable in the part of the UK where you live.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents you from relying on mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you.
